When it happens to me

I don't know how many times I have been walking in a mall or anywhere in fact, that have not had some kind of remark made about my size. Some times it's a joke that I don't take to heart, but then there are times that it about floors me. Anyone that knows me, knows I have been big all my life.           (

until now ). I may look like I have a heart of stone to match my bald head, beard, tattoos, and my Harley shirts, but I am here to tell you I do have feelings. Just like all the other big, large, huge, fat, and whatever else we are called. The size of me has helped me become who I am today, along with everything that has been said to me or about me. In fact, I would have to say that is why I am a anti-bully, caring, and tempered man. I have fought a long hard fight to get to where I am today with my size, and I am glad to say that for once, I am winning. But for those of you who are having trouble with it, never give up the fight! No matter what others say about you. And for all the normal or "skinny" folks out there that like torun at the mouth, keep in mind, we out weigh you! Nothing breaks my heart more than reading a post or blog from a young child or teen about hating themselves due to their size. I know the pain they feel, how they wish they would just drop over dead. I know how they cry when they leave the mall and it's from all the names and teasing they had to endure. How they go home after school and try to starve themselves just so they might fit in. The heartache of no boy or girl wanting to date or see you, cause they only see your size. Could you all do your friend here, Ol' Tank a favor the next time your out and see this happening to someone, anyone, any age... Walk up to them and just tell them Ol' Tank says its all ok, reach out and either shake a hand or give a hug. And defend them, make those who are doing the picking feel the same way that big person feels. But when you finish, just tell them your sorry for doing that, and hope they learn. Take it from the fat guy, you will make their day in more ways than one.                                          Big Man Out.             Tank
