when we meet new folks, the pic above is one of the first ways we think of them. A new day, maybe a bright spot of a new friendship. Things seem to go great for days, weeks, months, even years. Many folk you can form a bond with that you think will never be broken....
Then rolls in that storm you was never ready for.
Its sad to say, but I have had this happen one too many times. And the fact of getting older does not change that. There always seems to be that one person out there that can suck the life right out of you in a hurry. A hurt that never really goes away, but builds into a almost hate rage. To tell y'all the truth, I am too old for that crap. I am able now to move on, drop folks like a bad habit.
I have a few out there that I could never turn my back on due to past happenings. Jack S., he is brotha from anotha motha. That man has been there for me when no one else could care less. Through thick and thin, that man has showed what a true friend is. D.J. H.A., another man who time has split us apart, but we have been able to pick up and go from where we stopped years ago.
There a a few others who have jumped into my life and showed true friendship. Doug B., now that guy I think could be my twin, I am just younger and better looking...LOL
But all jokes aside, it is sad to look back and see those who have been a true foe. Even after you give yourself whole kindheartedly. To see and feel the wounds from the backstabbing, its just sad.
The only thing I am going to add to this, if Y'all are gonna start a new friendship, be true, be you, dont be fake to get what you want.
